Inviato: Mer 18 Lug 2012-21:18 pm Oggetto: Meglio HB02 o Hide Folder?
Ciao a tutti!
Grazie a tutti!

Valuta la dimensione: l'Hide è un pò più piccolo e questo ti può risultare utile visto l'uso EDC;
Fallkniven pxl micarta avorio.....
Domani corro a Busto a prenderlo e poi ...vi diro'!
Ri-buongiorno a tutti...

L'HIDE, secondo me, è uno dei migliori folder mai fatti.
l'Hide come prossimo folder....

I agree:)
I know...english...sorry:D
I once bought Hide and despite liking it very much i couldn't be satisfied with the fact that it couldn't be closed, safely, with one hand and also the stiff action it had because of the back lock so i sold it.
I never used an HB02 but if i were to choose between the two i would go with the HB02.

Hi eacas! it's true that the hide is a bit hard to close with one hand (...not so much to open), but you have to consider that probably, in the design/planning phase, it was decided to build a solid and safe block, rather than a knife easy/fast to open and close. In any case, as far as I'm concerned, I can very well open and close it with one hand ... may be it's a matter of training and habit. Regarding the comparison between the two knives, as darrex says, I don't think it's feasible, since they are two completely different knives, although the hb02, due to its size, falls into the category of gentleman knives. Ciao!

Hello:)
I could also close it single handedly but not in a safe way. I don't know how to explain it better however i don't agree with the last thing you said!
You said that the HB02 due to his size falls into the category of gentleman knives. Shouldn't it be the other way around?
The Hide is a smaller folder and, in my opinion, aestheticaly looks more of a gentlemany knife.

Hi! I honestly do not know what I can say to you... I can easily open and close the Hide with one hand... without any difficulty. I just did that three times before writing to you. To close it with one hand, just a little pressure on the backlock, then place the blade on the leg, and while holding the handle between your thumb and index finger, push the handle to the blade ... and you're done! With regard to the category of the two knives ... the small size of these mean that both fall into this category. They are two small ECD. Then, if from an aesthetic point of view, both blades looks something like fighter blades, that doesn't mean that their intended use is tactical. In any case, each is free to understand the use of a knife as he pleases.
ciao!

well, then you should not buy a Hide, or any folder with backlock. At this point I suggest the Linerlock, framelock, and better yet, for rapid opening and closing, axis lock. Look at the Benchmade (axis-lock) and sog (arch-lock), for example.

I understood bro. But if you love knives that you can open and close quickly with one hand, there is nothing better than blocks as axis and arch.

well, then you should not buy a Hide, or any folder with backlock. At this point I suggest the Linerlock, framelock, and better yet, for rapid opening and closing, axis lock. Look at the Benchmade (axis-lock) and sog (arch-lock), for example.
I know that my friend:) That's why i sold the Hide! I miss it though.
I'm not a fan of backlocks.
I'm more of a framelock guy:)
I understood bro. But if you love knives that you can open and close quickly with one hand, there is nothing better than blocks as axis and arch.
I don't need it to have a quick opening but i like it
I had a few axis-lock knives and liked them but the fact that they have a spring to move the locking mechanism makes it a somewhat weaker design in my opinion.
I heard many people saying that the omega springs on their benchmades broke so...i prefer framelocks
I can open them just as fast and, in my opinion, are stronger.
Valuta la dimensione: l'Hide è un pò più piccolo e questo ti può risultare utile visto l'uso EDC;
Buona scelta.
In any case, each is free to understand the use of a knife as he pleases.
ciao!

...beyond the design, arch and axis are both tested blocks, solid and .... obviously, as framelocks, fallible. However, I prefer the framelocks too, because they leave clean the design of the handle, as for their simple construction.

Tuttavia esteticamente parlando preferisco l'hb02

the Razionale is very beautiful but i never bought it because of the steel.
i mean it is a very beautiful design but too expensive for a Sandvik 13C26 stainless steel knife in my opinion.

it doesn't hold an edge as long as s30v for example.
also the fact that is an aluminum handle prevented me from buying it.
i don't like aluminum because it scratches real easy.
i know i know, i'm picky
