Fallkniven DC4, due modelli?

Forse mi è sfuggito qualcosa, sapevate che esistono due tipi di DC4?

Un modello ha il lato ceramicato molto molto fine (6000), mentre ce ne è un altro con lo stesso lato che massimo arriverà a 1500, in pratica non lucida il filo a specchio...

thanks for your question and also for using our products.

We have received the question before about the grit size for the ceramic stone and the answer is – we haven’t got that information. For ceramic stones, there is no grit size information but various techniques to achieve different kind of qualities. So, there are no grains to measure.

Still, we try to illustrate how fine our ceramic stone is by pointing out a black arkansas stone and how that stone works.

In general, you still need to strop an edge with a leather belt for achieving a razor sharp edge, it’s not enough using the ceramic stone.

Most important is to have – patience and some minutes. And a DC4…

Since the DC4 was introduced six years ago, we have tried to improve this stone. That is the reason why it looks and works slightly different from version to version.

The present is the best, of course, and today we don’t feel for improving it – we are at our goal.

ma il lato diamantato non dovrebbe essere quello piu grosso?? poi con il lato ceramico si rifinisce

Ci sono anche alcune DC4 con il lato diamantato color oro ed altre che lo hanno color argento.
